-Highlights: There's the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program which has lots of rules and directions to follow and requires 120 monthly payments prior to forgiveness. This program is available to roughly 25% of the workforce.

Key Tip on this one: Know what's in your promisory note!

All other loan forgiveness programs are income driven forgiveness, which requires you have made payments 20-25 years prior AND you get taxed on this

-Build up an emergency fund

-Avoid credit card debt at all costs!

-Sign into Studentloans.gov - consolidate loans and get signed up for 'revised pay as you earn'
